The horizontal line of sight is obtained by means of a slightly inclined spiral. Its pipe level has small division value and high sensitivity. The telescope is connected with the tube level as a whole. The pipe level is slightly tilted in the vertical plane by virtue of the slightly tilted screw, which is consistent with the centering of the level and the horizontal line of sight.

Horizontal line of sight is obtained with the help of automatic leveling compensator. When the line of sight of the telescope tilts slightly, the compensator moves the telescope relatively under the action of gravity, so as to quickly obtain the scale reading when the line of sight is horizontal. This instrument has higher work efficiency and stable precision than the micro tilt level.
